- -Hey, is that word pronounced Polish or polish? Shorts!

What's the Difference between Polish and polish

Obviously, the first consideration is the context in which the words are used. For instance, is it nail Polish? Or, polish sausage? You see...choosing the correct pronunciation is simple.

But, writing the words in proper context might present/present more of a challenge. So/sew, here's your grammatical guideline. One/won of the words is a Proper noun and the other may be a noun or an action verb.

So, Polish, capitalized refers to a nationality. And is thereby capitalized.

While nail polish, is a noun, you remember: a person, place or thing.

And to polish, is an action verb!

Any fun observations of your own?

Poetic Expression: Are we all Poets?

                                What exactly is...

                            Poetic Expression?

...The most common poetic prose we use daily, Metaphors and Similes, is best demonstrated by Songbird, Madonna, when she uses the Metaphor, "Like a Virgin, being touched for the very first time..."

Can you give examples of any of your favorite Metaphors or Similes?

- -Is Effeminate a "Bad Word"in Shorts?

Grammar's
Effeminate vs. Feminine
Can I be both? If in grammar, both adjectives mean "Womanly," so why not. As I'm definitely a girly-girl...

....But, social bias says, well, yes and no.
Because although a woman can be effeminate without negativity, societal rules dictate negativity for the same adjective in reference to men. As a man having characteristics and ways of behaving that are traditionally associated with women are regarded as inappropriate!

 So, What's your take?

Taking a grammatic license with Phil/Feel in my Shorts!

                                                     Is Phil/Feel a thing?

Hmm...Raving about the Massage chair at my gym this week, that I nicknamed Phil, pronounced "Feel" Did you understand this reference to the massager?

Does it go without saying that the nickname, Phil, uh 'Feel" stems from the penetrating vibrations of the Massage Chair, and thus, it's the way it makes me, "Feel."

Did I succeed in making you laugh with this Phil/Feel play on grammar?

How "You," like a news reporter, can Write Consistently, in Short

                       How do you Write Consistently

...like a reporter under deadline, on a daily basis?

Start by collecting Writer's Tools. These Tools, the essence of my forthcoming, 3 volume, beginning writer's series, will guide you seamlessly in your quest to get and keep your writing project progressing.

What are they? Your first thought might be a fancy computer. But it's not. Instead, check the Dollar Store for mini notebooks that come 3 to a pack. Next, you need pins and pencils in multiple packs.

                                                    Why?

Because when a news reporter goes on location to cover a story, they return to their computers with notes, videos and or pictures to guide the forthcoming story they are preparing to write.

So, like a Professional, with your primary Writer's Tools, you'll begin to collect notes, video and or pictures to guide your writing!

Because those notebooks and pens are stashed everywhere you linger. Ah...including around the aw.. Throne/Thrown. So whenever an idea or inspiration presents itself, you can quickly jot it down in the notebooks. Then tear the pages out and place them in a manila folder, labeled with your projects title or the chapter title, beside your computer. So you'll know exactly what you're writing on any given day!

Let me know if organizing your Writer's Tools actually helps to guide your focus when you sit at your computer to actually Write!
